LEGO ®-Based Therapy Training – Bricks for Autism

LEGO®-based therapy is a social skills programme for young people aged 5 – 18 years with autism spectrum conditions and related communication difficulties.

This course will enable you to set up and run your own LEGO®-Based Therapy club

Unfortunately, Bricks for Autism do not offer training for parents at present, however, parents / carers can book on our LEGO ®-Based Occupational Therapy Training scheduled for 23rd October 2017.

 

Optional add on study day following attendance on day 1—applying Occupational Therapy within LEGO®-based groups

The focus of the additional training day is to discuss how to develop and build upon foundational Occupational Therapy skills such as, fine motor, bilateral integration, visual and core stability within the LEGO®-Based Therapy groups.

LEGO®-Based Occupational Therapy can be used as a platform for developing and building upon foundational Occupational Therapy skills; such as, fine motor, bilateral integration, visual and core stability. The course will explore how to adapt therapy for use in early intervention, with non-verbal children and for individual therapy as well as group therapy sessions.

Cost: £125 (early bird rate of £100 if booked & paid by 30th June 2017)
